Thanks to Tik Tok, upcoming artists are getting recognition, such as Don Toliver with his single No Idea.
I’ve discovered this song through Tik Tok (please don’t judge me) and the tune gives a chill vibe and is perfect to play while driving during a summer night.
For many of you who don’t know, Don Toliver was already known in the music industry. He was featured in Can’t Say by Travis Scott; however, No Idea is the rapper’s first track where people are finding out who the artist is without the mention of Scott.
The song has a soft trappy beat in the background with a mix of drums, guitars, and bells. Don’s voice is the main instrument throughout the song and his alto voice during the chorus mixed with the background music is my favorite part.
The main message of the song is feeling lost in a new environment and losing the chance to be a potentially great relationship.

I think we can all relate to this experience, which is why I love this song.
There have been multiple times where I wished I had the courage to go up to a guy and say how I feel. I always wondered how guys always had the courage to go up to girls and start a conversation. Women are always expecting the guy to make the first move, but honestly, I wish that more women would just make the first move.
Although, many women like myself are just too shy and scared for rejection.
However, I think what is great about this song is that we listen to the “consequence” of not being truthful with ourselves or with that special someone.
